   The MRC hosts "State of the Indian River Lagoon" public workshops in New Smyrna Beach, Melbourne, Vero Beach, Ft. Pierce and Stuart to provide a venue for presenting and discussing issues that concern the local public.


   At these forums, the public has the opportunity to interact with authorities and experts on their issues.

   Past subjects include the Sebastian River Clean Up, Lansing Island Development Problems, Indian Landings Channel, Septic Tank Problems, Lost Tree Island Development Problems, Indian River County and Brevard County Manatee Plans, Dredging, Creating an Aquatic Preserve in Ft. Pierce, Impacts of Port Development, Acquisition of lands in the Pelican Island Buffer Area, Everglades Restudy,Lake Okeechobee Discharges, Wet Weather discharge and discharge of Reverse Osmosis Byproduct.
