Palm Bay Approves Lagoon House Design

The Palm Bay Redevelopment Agency and the Palm Bay City Council have approved a design for the Lagoon House to be sited on US1 in Palm Bay overlooking the lagoon. The Lagoon House will be a welcome center and environmental learning center staffed by the MRC. The approved design departs from the original conception of a two story building but the one story structure retains a historical Florida style. The proposed site design places the public access on Riverview Drive instead of US1, allowing for additional parking. The design team is currently creating plans to stabilize the lagoon shoreline using environmentally friendly techniques.
