Sponsors Come Through Despite Sept. 11

   Although Sept. 11 has slowed the tourist industry in Florida, the Canaveral Port Authority and Brevard Zoo have graciously donated funds to MRC's right whale program this year. The Florida State Legislature is also considering approving a whale license plate designed by Wyland that could be used as a source of funds for MRC’s whale program. The legislation was re-written just for MRC so we would be eligible for funds as whale conservationists in addition to the funding guaranteed for research and stranding-rescue efforts.
