The 2003 MRC Annual Membership meeting is being held at 1pm at the Metro Cinema Café at 3020 West New Haven Avenue (192) in West Melbourne. At 2:00 the award winning MRC documentary on the history of the lagoon "Journey Into Wilderness" will be shown free of charge on the big screen. This classic tale of the American frontier becomes the story of today's ecological pioneers who seek a balance between the natural and man-made world. Come, meet the MRC Board members and staff and get the latest news about MRC efforts in the lagoon and the new Lagoon House Scenic Highway Welcome Center. During the meeting the membership will be introduced to the board members and staff an update on the MRC's activities will be given and awards will be presented.
Beverages will be provided free for members during the meeting. Food will be available for purchase during the movie. If you are not member come, join the MRC and receive a free MRC hat. Hear the latest MRC news, and meet candidates for the MRC Board of Directors and vote for your choices. Please RSVP to the MRC at (321) 504-4500 if you plan to attend. The following awards will be presented: the Albert Tuttle Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service to the Indian River Lagoon, the Paul Kroegal Award for Outstanding Service to the Indian River Lagoon by a Government Employee, the Maggy Bowman Award For Outstanding Service to the Indian River Lagoon by an Elected Official, the Stan Blum Award for Conservation, Water Quality Monitor of the Year, Pepperbuster of the Year and MRC Employee of the Year.

I-95: To Exit 180, Go east on Hwy. 192.
Turn left on Wickham Road.
