At the March 2017 MRC Brown Bag Speaker Series (Tuesday, March 7, noon–1pm), Environmental Landscape Design expert Robin Pelensky will discuss the benefits of establishing rain gardens at your home. Robin maintains a deep respect for the environment and its natural systems as she designs each paradise for her clients.
This is a lunchtime learning lecture, attendees are welcome and encouraged to bring their lunch to enjoy during the seminar.
A rain garden is a planted depression or a hole that allows rainwater runoff from impervious urban areas — like roofs, driveways, walkways, parking lots, and compacted lawn areas — to be absorbed. Robin will talk about the benefits of rain gardens for the environment and why you should consider adding them to your home.
MRC's Brown Bag Lunch Series is held the first Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 pm at the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House, 3275 Dixie Highway NE, Palm Bay, Florida. For more information contact MRC at 321-725-7775.
