20170905-brownbag-mike-knight-eel-programPine Island Conservation Area, North Merritt IslandPlease join us at MRC's Ted Moorhead Lagoon House Tuesday, September 5, 2017 @ 12 pm, for an educational lunchtime learning seminar on land acquisition and restoration accomplishments of the Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands (EEL) Program.

The presenter will be Mike Knight, Program Manager, Brevard County Environmentally Endangered Lands Program.

This is a lunchtime learning lecture, attendees are welcome and encouraged to bring their lunch to enjoy during the seminar.

The EEL Program contributes to the water quality of the Indian River Lagoon. More than 71 miles of natural shoreline along the lagoon, its tributaries, and watershed drainage systems have been protected since the early 1990’s. These lands and shorelines play an important role in reducing pollution runoff flowing from both wetland and upland areas directly into the lagoon system.

The continued protection and ongoing management of these natural lands is vital to the long-term protection of the lagoon.

MRC's Brown Bag Lunch Series is held the first Tuesday of each month from noon to 1:00 pm at the Ted Moorhead Lagoon House, 3275 Dixie Highway NE, Palm Bay, Florida. For more information contact MRC at 321-725-7775.
